Maria K. (author's surname), an attractive journalist in the largest newspaper of Greece, considered 'HIV positive' for 20 years, has never met a single heterosexual man 'infected with the AIDS virus'; not bisexual, or 'contaminated' with blood from surgery or recreational drugs. And none replied to her invitation posted on the Internet since January 2006, at HIVwave.gr.

In the book "How I won AIDS. A wonderful adventure with HIV", she demonstrates that women do not 'transmit HIV' sexually. Expanding from her own experience of looking everywhere, persistently, for a normal heterosexual 'HIV positive' man.

War leaders relish AIDS charity

Sending AIDS missionaries and pills in Africa may not help resolve poverty. But it can boost the political image of the war leaders, and stuff the wallets of their friends.

World of Hope, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's AIDS charity, held a benefit concert in New York during the Republican National convention at which President Bush was nominated for re-election, in August 2004. It featured country stars.

Frist AIDS Charity Paid Consultants (AP, Dec 18 2005) nearly a half-million dollars in consulting fees to members of his political inner circle, according to tax returns providing the first financial accounting of the presidential hopeful's nonprofit. World of Hope's beneficiaries include evangelical Christian groups with Republican connections.

A British man spoke publicly for the first time yesterday to accuse MI5 officers of forcing him to confess to masterminding the July 7 bombings.

Jamil Rahman claims UK security officers were behind his arrest in 2005 in Bangladesh.

He says he was beaten repeatedly by local officials who also threatened to rape him and his wife.

Mr Rahman, who is suing the Home Office, said a pair of MI5 officers who attended his torture and interrogation would leave the room while he was beaten.
