9/11 and AIDS Big Lies

Sorry to disturb the peace of mind of those who stumbled on the Peace and Love.ca front page, expecting some hippy content, and discovered the 9/11 and AIDS deceptions. By exposing the official propaganda, we hope to slow down the fascist tanks creeping all over the world, in real and virtual terms, that have already invaded two countries since September 11 2001.

How can we be at peace with ourselves while, staying silent is consenting, the massacre continues in our name?

The real Peace and Love revolution would be to reverse that movement, like it did during the Vietnam war era. So here we focus on the more positive notions, wich were also the hippies' goals, of  Peace Love and Freedom. Including peaceful protests, showing there is still some hope for humanity.

Friends Don't Let Friends Commit War Crimes

Excerpt from the article Friends Don't Let Friends Commit War Crimes, written by Cindy Sheehan, published by CommonDreams.org and MichaelMoore.com, January 2, 2006.

"You're like an ambassador for peace," a Spanish journalist told me as we finished one of the dozens of interviews I gave in Europe. I did this interview right before I went to meet with the Spanish Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.

In reality, I did feel like an ambassador for peace as I traveled around Europe for 16 days in December.

The Mayor of London held a reception in honor of our peace efforts at the new and very modern City Hall, near the impressive and intimidating Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Mayor Ken Livingstone has always been an outspoken critic of the Iraq war and the war crimes of Tweedledum and Tweedledee&Bush and Blair&the corrupt, yet sadly comical, mis-leaders of two of the most powerful countries on the planet. I believe Bush and Blair are too far gone for redemption. They both need to be removed from their power and tried for their war crimes and betrayals. Until they are removed, the murder and the mayhem will continue.
[...]
The Spanish officials, like the other government officials we met, told me and the other Gold Star Families for Peace members and local peace activists who attended the meetings, that their countries are "great friends and allies of the USA."

We want friends and allies of the American people, but not of the current regime. The government is not identical with the people, despite what the right-wing hatemongerers say. Indeed, that is fascist notion. Not only do we not need to love our government's policies. When they are evil, we have a patriotic obligation to oppose them with all our strength. When the Bush administration uses white phosphorous on innocent men, women, children, and babies, when it uses illegal imprisonment and immoral torture on fellow members of the human race, when it invades and occupies another country that is no threat to the USA, we must say No. BushCo is an out of control entity which needs to be reined in by us!

The Peace Movement now has more members and is engaged more actively across the world than any other movement
Excerpt from The Responsibility Belongs to All of Us to End the War, an Interview with Tony Benn, President of the Stop the War Coalition, by Kevin Zeesed, CounterPunch, December 19, 2005:
Tony Benn, was born in London on April 3rd 1925, the son, grandson and father of Members of Parliament. He entered Parliament in 1950 at the age of 25 and retired from the House of Commons in May 2001 [...]  Since leaving Parliament in 2001 to "spend more time in politics," he has mostly devoted himself to public speaking and antiwar advocacy as the President of the Stop the War Coalition.

"The Peace Movement now has more members and is engaged more actively across the world than any other movement I can remember and thus has more influence nationally and internationally as we can see from the growing opposition to the war in the US and Britain. The Peace Movement represents 60% of US opinion now and the same in Britain. It is a very positive movement and has support right across the political spectrum. Opposition to the Iraq War worldwide is almost unanimous."

Cindy Sheehan received the Courage of Conscience award
Cindy Sheehan received the Courage of Conscience award, October 29, 2005. She was also invited to speak at the International Peace Conference, in Britain, organised by the Stop the War Coalition, December 10, 2005.

Some notes taken from The Guardian article 'I feel I'm carrying the world on my shoulders', December 9, 2005:
After Cindy Sheehan's son died in Iraq, her protest outside Bush's Texas ranch became a symbol of opposition to the war.
Even the mainstream media have given the camp some coverage. "They had been very creative in not covering the anti-war movement up until then." And she note "the anti-war movement is growing at all levels. Congress is starting to talk about bringing the troops home and you never saw any of that before."

She gets feedback from the troops and 99.9% say, 'Keep on doing what you're doing because it's a nightmare here and we want to come home and it's only people like you in the peace movement that give us hope'."

John Lennon was killed 25 years ago, on December 8 1980.  Imagine (song), listen in memorial. Free

John Lennon was killed soon after Ronald Reagan, no Peace and Lover, won his first presidential election. The Reagan administration also oversaw the birth of the HIV/AIDS mythology, a fatal blow to the Peace and Love revolution.

Posthumous Courage of Conscience award for John Lennon (October 9, 1940 - December 8, 1980):

Musician and peace activist for his music and anti-war protests which helped to bring to the attention of an entire generation the ideals of peace and love.

On January 1, 2005, the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) named "Imagine" the greatest song in the past 100 years, as voted by listeners. Listen, in Real Audio format from John-Lennon.com.

Imagine

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try,
No hell below us, above us only sky,
Imagine all the people, living for today.
Imagine there's no countries, it isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for, and no religion too,
Imagine all the people, living life in peace.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one,
I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one.

Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger, a brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people, sharing all the world.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one,
I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

Peace and Love.ca advertisements on the Internet, for World AIDS Day, December 1st 2005.
AIDS Sexual Transmission Lie

A part of the Peace and Love.ca AIDS Myth Visibility Campaign, the Google text ads with different shapes and colors, were popular in a few publications, such as Times Online, Boston.com, and Health24.com. The 'What about Africa?' one even made it to the front page of AllAfrica.com and the South African Mail & Guardian Online. Myth of Sexual AIDS ad
A good number of their readers clicked on the ads, to discover this often censored alternative viewpoint.

Kudos to MotherJones.com, who accepted the small 9/11 and AIDS Big Lie ad with a link to the Peace and Love.ca front page, for one full month. They did not shy away from this controversial advertisement, that may represent views contrary (apparently, so far) to those published by their editors; demonstrating respect for free expression and dissenting voices. 9/11 and AIDS Big Lies

From their masthead: "Mother Jones produces revelatory journalism that in its power and reach seeks to inform and inspire a more just and democratic world."
Who was Mother Jones? "Her memory evokes the great American tradition of protest. It reminds us that passion still matters, and that a well-crafted symbol can offer inspiration, emboldening us in a world where the possibility of meaningful change sometimes seems beyond our reach."

Peace and Love.ca participation at the Canadian Peace Alliance Conference

The Peace and Love.ca information table at the Canadian Peace Alliance 20th Anniversary Conference, Ottawa November 11-13 2005, was a fantastic occasion to meet delegates from more than 65 labour, faith, anti-war, social justice and environmental groups from all over the country.

And beyond, with a speaker for United for Peace and Justice, from the United States. In August 2004, they organised a huge Peace demonstration in New York, welcoming the Imperial War leaders represented at the Republican National Convention; where the two people behind the table met for the first time.

Where is the peace and global justice movement? There's Something in the Air / But It's Not on the Airwaves
A short video addressing the media blackout of the global peace and justice movement, self-funded by artists Chris Chandler & Karen Kilroy.
The film, "There's Something In the Air/But It's Not on the Airwaves," is based on an audio piece by political spoken word artist Chris Chandler about the media's lack of coverage on the peace and global justice movement. The loss of so many Ohio servicemen during the shooting of the film is providing inspiration for the cast and crew. The film was shot on location in Kent and Akron, Ohio and includes documentary footage from many independent videographers from across the country. The film also includes footage shot inside a paddy wagon during an actual arrest in Kent, Ohio on May 4, 2003, when the police confiscated a protestor's video camera, left it on, and later gave it back to him.
